The good to knows..

  • We are fully licensed to hold wedding ceremonies both in our purposefully renovated barn as well as in our farmhouse (for more intimate occasions) &  outdoors (when weather permits).  

​

  • In the barn, we can have 70 guests for the ceremony as well as 70 guests for dining.  In the farmhouse, you can have up to 20 guests. 

​

  • Evening celebrations can have up to 90 guests.

​

  • Up to two dogs are welcome to be a part of your special day.

​

  • We have accessible access into and around the barn.

​

  • You have the option to provide your own alcohol. If you choose to do so,  you won't be charged any corkage for this.  You also have the option to choose some drink packages developed specifically for Blackton Grange by one of our wonderful suppliers.

What's Included? 

As much as we are a dry hire venue, we have gone above and beyond what's usually included in such an approach. We have listed below what you can expect within the hire price so you have full transparency.

  • Exclusive access to the 11 acre estate for you and your guests for the duration of the hire

  • 2 and 3 night packages include luxury farmhouse accommodation for up to 17 guests

  • All chairs are provided for your ceremony as well as a table for the registrars

  • Speakers are provided in the ceremony room, dinning room and bar/snug area

  • All tables and chairs provided for dinning

  • Two drinks fridges provided

  • Personal Wedding Co-ordinator

If you choose to elope in the farmhouse, the following applies:

​

 

  • 2 nights accommodation in the luxury farmhouse (for up to 17)

  • Minimum of two guests and a maximum of 20. (guests numbers include the happy couple). 

  • Use of the farmhouse & grounds

  • Bottle of bubbly

  • Ceremony held in one of our licensed rooms in the Farmhouse

  • Two witnesses can be provided if necessary

What's not included 

  • Catering or a space for catering.  The caterers of your choice (or our recommendations) must be fully self sufficient and provide their own power if applicable. I.e. food trucks, pizza vans, grazing tables etc

  • Drinks packages are not included in the price of hire. You are free to bring your own drinks and use the fridges provided or hire a mobile bar.  We do not provide this service.

  • Serving staff are not included in the hire price, there are companies that can provide this if you wish. However, caterers and mobile bars tend to supply this service.

  • Glass ware and crockery are not included. there are companies that can provide this if you wish. However, caterers and mobile bars tend to supply this service.

 

FAQS

Q: Can additional guests stay in the Farmhouse?
A: No, the maximum capacity is strictly 18 plus
two small children (who can be in a travel cot).
This is due to fire health & safety regulations &
insurance purposes.


Q: Can catering companies use the farmhouse
kitchen?

A: For elopements and small ceremonies where the guests numbers don't exceed 25  - Yes. However for guest numbers that exceed 25,  all caterers need to be fully self contained and operate from their own units.
No access to the farmhouse should be given to
any suppliers who are catering for the barn.

Q: Can we use The Farmhouse facilities and
property as part of our Wedding?

A: No, The Farmhouse is strictly for the
Wedding party & guests sleeping at the
accommodation.

​

Q. Can we use the indoor furniture outdoors?

A: Indoor furniture is to remain indoors. If you require additional seating etc for outside, we have recommended suppliers who can supply this for you. 

​

Q: Do children count in the guest numbers?

A: Yes, If children require a seat they are included in the guest numbers. Babies in arms are not counted in guest numbers.

​

Q: Can we exceed the Maximum capacity of 75?

A: 75 is our comfortable capacity and what we provide ceremony and dinning furniture to accommodate. However, our license is for up to 80 day time guests. Please be mindful that if you have 80 guests, the space may feel a little tight and you would need to provide the extra seating, tables etc to accommodate them.

Q: Is there parking on site?

A: We can accommodate up to 20 cars comfortably on site. There is also additional parking a 5 minute walk away at the top of the reservoir.  For environmental reasons, we do however encourage the use of mini buses and coaches for your guests. We have some recommendations for these.
